This Training Has Opened Up The World For Us.

Our dogs had aggression issues and our veterinarian recommended Equip K9's training as a solution. Jack's professionalism and years of experience were demonstrated the second he entered our home. It was amazing to see his dedication and hear the expectations, which were very clear. As handlers it made a huge difference to our outcome. My ultimate goal goal was being able to take Finn out in public without being embarrassed by his behavior. Jack gave me the tools I needed to be successful. The corrections in my techniques were very constructive and informative as I was a little to easy going. My confidence in handling Finn is much better now than in the beginning of our training program, and I believe Finn respects me more now than ever. Taking Finn out in public is becoming a joy, which has increased my confidence as well as Finn's skill set. My friends really see a big difference in Finn's behavior.  Jack is easy to understand, very friendly, and a great teacher.

Drastic Changes in Hank's Behavior

In the past Hank struggled with jumping and being overexcited when I would board him. At home I would get anxious and flustered with Hank's bad behavior. He would bark incessantly when someone would come to my door. These were bad experiences for the both of us. Brookside veterinary hospital mentioned that I should hire Jack to help me with the issues I was facing. In our first meeting before we technically started training, I felt a world of difference in how you made Hank and myself feel more comfortable. Your patience in showing me the proper techniques, then having me practice while you were there, was extremely valuable. I also loved the documents you sent prior to training and the follow up. You are very pleasant to work with and I felt you really cared about my success in handing Hank. The training impacted my lifestyle for sure. Hank walks by my side on a lose leash, he calms down in a timely manner, and I see drastic changes in Hank's behavior as we continue to use the tools you have taught us. I no longer feel anxious about Hank, because I understand that patience, practice and utilizing proper technique will change Hank's behavior. Our veterinarian said that Jack is an excellent trainer. I wanted an excellent trainer and we got it. During our training experience, we discovered that Jack was teaching us as much as he was teaching our dog Roger. Jack is very personable and Roger made a connection with him right away. He never hurt our dog, yet he showed us how to utilize pressure in a positive way that gets results. I can walk with Roger on a loose leash on our roads where cars are traveling by at 50 mph, when I stop, Roger will just sit down by my side as the car zooms by. Working with Jack was a great experience, he is very approachable and very good at explaining training concepts individually so we understand why we are doing a specific technique in a certain way to get a specific result. I also like that Jack prepares us for the next lesson a few days ahead of time. The training was amazing. We don't have to fight with Roger anymore and best of all I can now go out and socialize with Roger as he is my best companion that is well behaved in social settings. Our Lifestyle is So Much Easier Now!

Jack was recommended by our veterinarian to help us train Winnie. He was excellent about keeping us updated during the whole training process and explained how important it is for us to pay attention to the small details. Now I have the dog of my dreams!

I had taken my 6-month-old puppy Angus to a local pet shop chain for training. They were nice, but I felt like I needed more control of Angus’ behavior in the home and in public places. Veterinarian Recommended!

Jack was recommended by our veterinarian, so we made an appointment to meet. Jack met us at our house to meet the dogs, asked us some very good questions about their personalities and behaviors. He was able to recognize many of the undesired behaviors during our meeting and discussed plans for training. When Jack mentioned that we could contact him anytime for the life of the dogs with questions or problems that made an impact on us knowing we had help in the future. We would recommend Jack’s Equip K9 to anyone that asks. Our favorite things to mention are the pictures during training, especially the first couple of weeks when we didn’t see them. Jack would bring Blu & Murphy to our neighborhood to walk them in a familiar environment and take them to public places. We found Jack easy to understand and patient. He explained our part in training very well and helped us to understand not only what we were doing, but why. The training Blu & Murphy received has made things calmer at our house. We don’t yell or get frustrated as quickly because having some tools to use gives us more confidence that we can handle the issue. We now have tools that we can use to work on the issues on our own and if we just can’t figure it out, we have Jack to call.

Hi, we are Kevin and Wanda Van Mill and this is our dog, Bailey.  She is a smart dog and to help her be the best dog she could be, she needed some professional training, and so did we! We were given Jack’s name by a friend and loved the idea of one on one training vs. group setting. We made an appointment with Jack. He came to our house (which was awesome) for a consult and we knew right away we wanted his help. Jack is very understanding of dog and human behaviors and how they feed off each other.
